It's Indigenous Peoples' Day, October 8, 2018. It's a time when we are experiencing a world -- especially a United States -- rife with racism. It's a time for women to rise, as they continue to be silenced, shuttered and beat down. I cannot help spend large chunks of time learning how to better be an ally to women of color; those who are most affected but who also bring to the table the most potential to enact real change to this outdated, outlandish system we find ourselves living in.
